To celebrate the screening of the Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island movie on June 3rd, 2022, Premium Bandai announces the release of the RX-78-02 Gundam in the HG Universal Century GunPla lineup.

The kit is molded in similar colors faithful to the movie version while sharing the same molds with the Gundam The Origin version of the RX-78-02 Gundam. The kit also features a newly designed water slide decal sheet to detail the kit.

The kit is packed in a full colored box art celebrating the release of the movie.

Great detail kit

A really nice kit to put together. It is essentially the same kit as "The Origin" version of the 78-2, just in slightly different coloured plastics to closer match the animation colours (which it does well, with an added sheet of waterslide decals, and in a limited ed box (nice poster art from the movie, if you like to display your boxes.)

It's a nice robust kit, joints are all strong and it's pretty stable, articulation isn't incredible but it's fine for a HG.

Very happy with the kit.
